Craniofacial Acceptance Month (CAM)
2026 marks the 22nd year Children’s Craniofacial Association will observe September as Craniofacial Acceptance Month across the nation. Each year CCA families, friends, volunteers and related support groups band together to widen the circle of acceptance for individuals with facial differences. We are proud to keep this tradition alive! View our anticipated schedule for 2026 below.
If you would like to host a CAM Event or Gathering, please read this information and contact us ASAP! Email Rasheera Dopson, [email protected].
To commemorate 37 years of service, we chose the theme โCelebrate Community.โ Our resilient community makes the work we do possible. They are the leaders of the facial difference acceptance movement.
Now more than ever, we have hope and insight for a connected future. Check out our YouTube page!

SIGN UP FOR OUR 2026 VIRTUAL CAM GROUP PHOTO
Each year we take a virtual group photo! Please join us for the fun by signing up here.

Furthermore, we are soliciting all 50 states to officially proclaim September as “Craniofacial Acceptance Month” – and so far we have several states who have joined us in the celebration.ย Take a look at this page to see all the official proclamations!ย
If you would like to be involved with Craniofacial Acceptance Month, contact CCA Outreach Director, Khadija. We can share our official proclamation with you and help you craft a “pitch” for your local media.
For CAM posters or CCA brochures, contact, Annie Reeves.

In addition to raising awareness and acceptance, CCA is raising funds to support programs and services available to all individuals with facial differences and their families. Contact CCA Director of Development,ย Christine Andlerย for materials about this yearโs fundraising efforts.

We have a Marketing Kit for you if you want to use our specific CAM Graphics, or our general media assets for contacting your local media.
Past years and other items you can find those items here.
To save the graphics for your use, “Right Click” and select “Open in a new tab.” Then you can save from there.ย
TO THE MEDIA:
The landscape of Craniofacial advocates and activists has exponentially grown over the years. Organizations and communities are working together to push for awareness, acceptance, and inclusion for the facial difference community. From advocating for needed legal protections, like ELSA (Ensuring Lasting Smiles Act), to hosting podcasts interviewing people from all walks of life, to insisting medical professionals with facial differences be respected for their lived experience: we realize that together, we create impact. Each individual is sharing their own perspective that informs the work: we are celebrating our diversity. Together, we create representation for the younger generation on what life can be when we share ideas, resources, and truth among ourselves. Together, we project acceptance to the public at large.
You can help us share our amazing stories, too! We ask the media to designate a segment on your local radio or television news program for a story about a local child or adult with a facial difference or craniofacial condition. We can help connect you with an advocate near you to talk about personal and public issues related to living with a facial difference.
We hope you will join this important effort! For questions, please call 800.535.3643.
